We share much in common. Each of us begins life on this side of heaven and encounters opportunities and challenges that reveal our strengths, weaknesses, interests, and skills, helping us use them with purpose.

As our journey continues, we make choices. The sources we trust—and the people, timing, and places through which information reaches us—shape what we believe and how we live out that truth. Our purpose is therefore shaped by truth and expressed through actions that reflect our beliefs.

Life is an emotional journey. What makes us who we are is how we respond to expectations and disappointments, anticipation and change, joy and sorrow, success and failure. While we cannot avoid life’s realities, we can choose which voices influence our thoughts and guide our actions as we move through them.

Life is a relational journey. We are shaped by the perspectives of friends, counselors, experts, family members, social media, and advances in AI. We are responsible for choosing which views we embrace, knowing they will influence both our thinking and our actions.

My hope is that you choose your influences wisely. In a generation marked by instant gratification, information overload, advanced technology, and demanding schedules, I encourage you to be still, recognize God’s voice, and listen as He makes Himself personally known to you. He desires a relationship with you and communicates through His Word, which has proven reliable and true.

God desires for you to discover His unique purpose for your life. You do this by allowing His truth to shape your motives and guide your decisions. Will you listen to Him?

Our lives are not meant to end on this side of heaven; God’s purpose for us continues into eternity. The work He begins in us here will be brought to completion there, where we can only imagine the magnificent journey He has prepared.

Have you considered, in light of your life today, the journey Jesus may prepare for you in eternity? That answer depends on where you place your hope and belief at your final breath.

Jesus invites each of us to respond to Him—a decision that reaches beyond this life and into eternity.

In that light, we are not so different after all.

A Loving Invitation is written for every heart: those who know Christ and want to strengthen their faith, those who have not yet met Him and need to encounter His love, and those who need to hear His voice above all others and know the truth about Him.
